1 Anchor - used to provide a firm base to attach other tapes to

2 Stirrup - vertical 'U' shaped piece of tape supporting either side of the joint

3 Spur - horizontal piece of tape that holds the stirrup in place

4 Basket weave - Stirrups and spurs in a half overlapping layer to build a pattern



5 Locking straps - Short circular tapes to cover the basket weave

6 Figure of Six - piece of tape to provide additional support on one side of the joint. Starts as a stirrup then crosses to form a six

7 Interlocking half sixes - Overlapping sixes to provide even more support on one side of the joint
